Private Woodland Burial on Saturday 6th August. His coffin will pass along Aigburth Drive through his beloved Sefton Park from 11am.

Following his burial, there will be an ‘open mic’ music session to celebrate his life on Saturday evening at The Florrie, 377 Mill Street, L8 4RF (6pm-11pm). All musicians welcome to come and play.

On Sunday 7th at the Palm House, Sefton Park, 10am-3pm, there will be a chance to pay our final respects before his harp leaves the city.

STAN AMBROSE, retired social worker, presenter of ‘Folkscene’ on Radio Merseyside for 49 years, and renowned harper. Much loved and missed by the Liverpool music community, died peacefully at home on July 11, 2016.
