Having previously staged their last two summer shows at Croxteth Park, The Wind in The Willows and Alice In Wonderland, the YEP decamped to Princes Park to stage their madcap version of Robin Hood.

I enquired whether Russel Crowe would be in attendance but was told he was not available!

The merry men (and women) performed in six different parts of the park led by the balladeer Allan-A-Dale (James Bibby),with Ant Roberts playing Robin Hood and Heidi Henders in the role of Maid Marian.

It was oddball stuff, not to be taken seriously, but nevertheless a delightful way to spend an hour in such a beautiful park setting.

The production featured 35 actors, aged between 11 and 22-years-old.
