Directed by and starring Lucas Belvaux

Bruno, played by Belvaux, is a former political terrorist who escapes from prison to continue his killings and assassinations on behalf of the proletariat. Fifteen years inside may have left him unchanged and still committed but his old comrades, now settled into middle class lifestyles with families are no longer interested.
Receiving a wide berth off everyone, and finding himself swimming in a smaller and smaller pool, he finds friendship in the unlikely guise of a drug addict Agnes (Dominique Blanc), who also happens to be the wife of the cop who is on his trail.

'On the Run' is by far the best of the three films. The other two: 'An Amazing Couple' and 'After the Life' seem to crawl along; hardly strong enough to be sub-plots of the first film. You could not be blamed for believing that trilogy would have been much better as one film, with 'On the Run' the story of Bruno being the main theme, and the other films edited severely and placed in as sub-plots. I was left with the feeling after watching the three films that Trilogy was a good idea that had been stretched way beyond its limits. Regardless of that, Trilogy one, 'On the Run' is worth seeing.
