Artist Profile - Hassan Ismail

I wanted to be an artist as long as I can remember. In recalling my childhood it seems that I was always drawing and painting, until I decided to turn professional.

I have exhibited my work at various events around the UK. I've always been a creative person who expresses himself through different forms of art and explores different techniques and materials. But my main artwork includes oil painting and drawing.

Each project often consists of multiple works grouped around specific themes and meanings.

I get my inspiration from life and nature and from my artwork itself. Each of my paintings gives me inspiration for the next.

The alternation between day and night and the transformation that this brings to all things around have always fascinated me. This is apparent in many of my paintings.

My appreciation of architecture and especially the different elements that go into making a building from a social, scientific, cultural and artistic point of view, has always been an influential factor in the development of my work.
