Music Profile - Jazamin Sinclair

By Amy Denis

There is no other way to describe Jazamin Sinclair; she is an all-round talented young lady. Her exhibition Layers opened this month and she has just landed back in Liverpool after touring with Russell Watson as part of the Sense of Sound choir.

Jazamin is very happy with the success that her exhibition has had already, on the opening night, the turnout was high. As well as these successes Jazamin is also a talented photographer and musician, she graduated in Fine Art from Cardiff University but has always loved all the disciplines which she practises.

Her latest exhibition features work with oil and water colour paintings as well as photographs by the artist. Jazamin has used a fascinating technique taking micro sections of her preliminary sketches and developing them to create the finished piece. This gives the audience a finished piece which was originally part of a much larger drawing or section of work.

Jazamin is a regular face on the Liverpool art scene; she has helped in many of the successes of the Headspace at Egg café, which she became involved in a few years ago. She loves participating there as she can be involved with many of the upcoming artists in the area.

Her time with Russell Watson, playing in the Albert Halls in London was 'fantastic', she has been singing in this successful choir for years and they feature in many tours and competitions.

In the future Jazamin will be working further on her own projects, she is also looking forward to getting back on to the music scene looking for gigs to play in the future.

Also she is organising a future exhibition in the Egg café, which members of the public can participate in. She is looking forward to finding some undiscovered talent out there and has already had emails piling in. Summer looks like it's going to be a busy one for Jazamin, and, who knows, maybe she can enjoy a well deserved holiday in her dream location, Italy.
