Uncut Confetti

John Hegley
Unity Theatre (16th June 2007)

John Hegley, back in Liverpool - one his favourite stomping grounds - turned in a highly amusing and original comic performance, which must surely prove one of the highlights of the Liverpool Comedy Festival.

Interacting constantly with the audience at the Unity, his blend of wacky poetry, mandolin playing and offbeat comic turns left the audience in raptures.

He had previously brought Uncut Confetti to Liverpool but given his multi-faceted talents, you knew it would be very much different from the last time he performed it here.

His subject matters ranged from obese mates to Jimmy Greaves.

You don't get this sort of stuff on the telly.
