With Princes Park bathed in glorious sunshine, the Brouhaha open-air festival held at the end of July proved to be a joyous occasion for the big crowd who attended.

Prior to the event, there was a colourful and spectacular carnival procession, including hundreds of wonderful costumes on display, which wound its way from the Merseyside Caribbean Centre to inside the park.

The festival itself comprised a diverse range of local, national and international musicians, dancers, actors and DJs.

There was also two performance spaces for circus and street theatre, together with a series of workshops for children, as well as a Healing Tent, which proved to be very popular, where a range of holistic and alternative therapies were available.
