'Storytelling Directions'- Burjesta Theatre Workshops

Starting Wednesday 6th May, 7pm
(and following on each subsequent Wednesday)
The Casa, 29 Hope Street, Liverpool, L1 9BQ
£3/£2 per session

In a new series of workshops we'll be looking at how some of the world’s great dramatic writers put together their stories, narratives, plots – And then we’ll be looking at how we can act them out.

We will examine how they used different techniques – 'starting in the middle of a chronology', ‘the big opening’, ‘withholding the hero’, ‘ironic knowledge of the audience' to name but a few.

+ Additionally we want to encourage participants to try their hand at directing. We’ll be asking participants to have a crack at directing scenes and to start thinking about developing their own style of directing. And we'll be giving all the support we can sharing ideas along the way.

So come along for an evening of dramatic intent!

* Please note these workshops are acting workshops not study sessions - come wearing appropriate clothing for physical activity.
