Jo and Vinnie entertain the massesNerve 5 Launch Night

Catalyst held a launch night for our latest and greatest magazine on the 8th April. The evening began with the acoustic stylings of singer/songwriter Jazamin Sinclair, before Sue Hunter read some moving poetry from 'I Believe In Miracles' - Palestinian writer Nahida Izzat Ghaith's new collection. By this time the bar was becoming packed, and The Mersey Billies entertained the thirsty hordes with their rambunctious take on bluegrass. Jo-anne Roberts and Vinny treated us to some folk, and then the Mersey Billies returned to finish us all off. The evening can’t have been a total disaster, because Ian Jackson of artinliverpool.com called it 'excellent' and celebrated the fact that there was 'only a couple of boring speeches' and a raffle.

The fifth issue of Nerve magazine is available for free from all good (and not-so-good) cultural venues, cafes and libraries in this wonderful city of culture. The full index can also be found here, with printer-friendly pages and everything.
