Liverpool To Let

This weekend, whilst walking past Liverpool's Town Hall we noticed, as we looked up, that in every direction there were 'TO LET' or 'FOR SALE' signs on many buildings. From Water Street to Castle Street and even behind the Town Hall at Exchange Buildings there were large amounts of vacant offices or shops.

Considering Liverpool had just held the International Festival of Business this seemed really odd.

I wonder if those at the Town Hall have noticed this as they look out of the windows the number of 'TO LET' signs as far as the eye can see?

Walking further down to North John Street, Stanley Street, Victoria Street and Dale Street there were just never-ending hordes of signs advertising empty properties.

As we approached Bold Street from Church Street the whole of the old Lyceum building was covered in these signs as well as buildings on Slater Street. Most people probably don't look up and notice these empty office spaces but it's most surely a sign of the times that something strange is going on.
