Talk with Liverpool Crime Writer Ian D Jackson at Write Blend Bookshop

“How to Murder Your Spouse and Get Away With It” is the intriguing title of the thrilling talk popular crime writer Ian D Jackson will be giving at Write Blend, Waterloo, on Friday 26th August.

All are invited to this light-hearted, seminar-style event, which will see the successful crime writer talk about his craft, constructing plots, characters and the publishing battle.

This summer, Ian reached the final of the People’s Book Prize for the second year running. His two crime novels, Dead Charming and Deadly Determination have received much critical acclaim and are now sold globally. Set in Manchester and Liverpool respectively, they are inspired by much of Ian’s surroundings, having grown up in Liverpool, as well as his keen interest in crime and psychology. Known for this troubled, gritty villains and expertly painted protagonists full of dark and light, his crime thrillers have gathered a world wide fan base.

Write Blend is a local book store and coffee shop which is no stranger to events, talks and author appearances. On South Road, Waterloo, they have become a hub of literary news in the area, and provide Waterloo with the perfect place to relax with a good book.

They are running events every weekend this August for both adults and children; great opportunities for bibliophiles, aspiring authors and those in publishing to discover new writers and enjoy literary culture. A full list is available on their website.

Ian’s books are published by Percy Publishing, who enjoyed success at the 7th Annual People’s Book Prize this week with the prize for Best Publisher. Ian is the 8 th People’s Book Prize Finalist to come from Percy Publishing in 3 years. Ian was born in Liverpool in 1964 and previously worked in publishing as a features writer.
