Stop the War Coalition presents 'The Alturnertive Art Prize'

Alongside the Turner Prize hosted in Liverpool this year – MSTWC
is holding its own Visual Arts Competition on the theme of 'War, Peace
and Occupation.'
The winner will be announced at a special evening dinner in the Piazza
Restaurant on Saturday December 1st, where an auction of selected works
will be held for the benefit of the artist and MSTWC.
A prize of an Art Voucher worth £100 will be awarded to the winner.
Shortlisted entries will have their original artwork shown in the Domino
Gallery or another City venue and offered for sale to the public.
Artists wishing to take part please submit an A4 size image of your work
with any relevant information (including size of work) to the Domino Gallery,
11 Upper Newington, Liverpool, L1 2SR.
Include your name and address, email or contact number.
The deadline for entries is strictly Friday 0ctober 19th.
All works must be linked to the theme of 'War, Peace and Occupation.'
Shortlisted entrants will be informed after 26th October as to where
and when their work will be exhibited.
The shortlisted artworks will be judged the week of 22nd of November.
Selected works will be open for viewings from this day.
The competition winner will be announced at a special evening dinner
at the Piazza Restaurant (by the steps of the Catholic Cathedral) on Saturday
1st December. Local press will be invited. An auction of artwork will
take place at this event – therefore all art submitted must be for
sale.
