Rethinking Freedom

Merseyside Polonia in partnership with the Polish Society at the University of Liverpool has a pleasure to invite you to the 'Rethinking Freedom' event reflecting, celebrating and discussing freedom today.

The event will take place on the 15th of November (Friday) at the University of Liverpool and will feature speakers discussing and presenting their take on freedom from different perspectives as well as experience.

It will be a chance to find out more about Polish history while listening to a survivor of the Polish Warsaw Uprising who managed to escape to the UK during the WWII, discuss freedom of expression in arts especially from those who are denied the freedom to create (Passion for Freedom Festival – London) or find out more about modern day slavery – human trafficking (Hope for Justice).

‘Rethinking Freedom’ event is organised in cooperation with the Polish Society at the University of Liverpool, Passion for Freedom Festival (London), Hope for Justice, Stop the Traffik and founded by Liverpool City Council, Duchy of Lancaster Benevolent Fund, Polish Cultural Institute in London, MOD Care.
