James Jamieson Memorial Event

Sat 8th November 2014, 9pm - 2am
Baltic Social, Parliament Street

By Paul Tarpey

On Saturday 8th November (9pm - 2am) there will be a memorial fundraising event at Baltic Social (formerly The Leaf) on Parliament Street to celebrate the life of James Jamieson.

Many of you will have known him, worked with him and almost certainly drank with him.

He was a friend but I also worked with him on many creative projects and events. His determination to present ideas and make the city a lively, independent place to be involved with is still an example many who knew him try to follow.

Working with James wasn’t ever going to be easy, but it did mean that whatever happened had an edge, humanity and a positive intent.

He is a sad loss to so many as a friend and a force in their life, but he is there with us every time a project needs a kick up the backside.

The night will be raising money for Family Refugee Support Network, a cause close to Jame's heart. If you cannot attend but would like to donate then please contact and we will provide details of how you can.
