Control 25 - Liverpool's first large-scale one-to-one performance event

Happening in everyday spaces and places in Liverpool, Control 25 invites audience members/participants to surrender, share and take control as they go on a solo voyage around the streets of the city.

Control 25 will be Liverpool's Liverpool’s first large scale one-to-one performance event. Collaborating with artists Ant Hampton, Seth Honnor (Kaleider) and Sharron Devine, Control 25 will explore the invitation to collaborate in One to One performance.

Which route would you choose?

Route 1 - Remote Control Observing, Familiar, Everyday

Route 2- Birth Control Warm, Gentle, Playful

Route 3 - Pest Control Surprising, hazardous, bold

Route 4 - Passport Control Risky, adventurous, uncertain

Guided by instructions delivered via an earpiece audience members will participate in a series of intimate encounters created by a group of emerging artists from Hope Street Limited. The performances will be the result of a two week creative process were established artists/company, Ant Hampton, Sharron Devine and Kaleider will deliver a series of creative workshops that will inspire and support the emerging artists to create 25 new pieces of work that will be showcased at Control 25 on the 8th November 2014.

Control 25 will conclude with an artists’ talk. Ant Hampton, Sharron Devine and Seth Honnor (Kaleider) will be speaking, with guest speaker Dr Rachel Zerihan (tbc). Control 25 is funded by the Arts Council and is a partnership project with FACT, Liverpool John Moores University and Hope Street Ltd.

Journeys will start every 10 minutes from 12pm till 4pm. Each journey will last 1 hour approximately
