Coming soon: an evening of drama about the Bedroom Tax!

Bedroom Farce?

Dingle Community Theatre are all set to take their new play – “Bedroomed!” – on a tour of North West Venues.

The play is a comedy, looking at some of the issues raised by the “Bedroom tax”. The main character in the play faces some difficult choices in order to make ends meet after she learns that she will be affected by the new Government Benefits penalty on “spare” bedrooms.

“We decided to do the play after we saw the public concern the “Bedroom Tax” was creating,” says writer and local teacher, Tom Mclennan. “We felt that people needed to be made aware of the difficulties the “Tax” is causing.”

The play will be performed along with other sketches, poems and songs penned by local writers all with a “Bedroom Tax” theme.
